Royal Opera House of Muscat(ROHM):
The architectural beauty and special secrets of the Royal Opera House are revealed through fascinating guided tours. You will discover the history and genesis of Oman’s premier venue for arts and culture in all its structural boldness and technical innovation; ROHM’s breath taking decorative artistry with motifs derived from Islamic, Mughal, Oriental and European art, will leave you spellbound. You will also learn about the amazing mechanisms that change the Auditorium from Theatre to Concert Mode, at the flick of a switch. One of the important highlights is viewing the very fine collection of rare instruments preserved here.

Corniche: Bait Al Baranda and a 3 km long seafront stretch from the seaside fish market, view of the tourist ports and harbouring ships, Muttrah Souq, Muttrah Fort, Al Riyam park, Kalbuh Park, Bait Al Zubair Museum, Omani-French Museum, Al Alam Royal Palace, Fort Jalili, Fort Mirani and National Museum, Bandar Al Rowdha, have its own spectacular charms and views, a must-see for all tourists visiting Muscat.
Bait Al Baranda:
Converted from a 1930s house, this museum details the history of Oman and the Muscat region. Covering topics from the geology of the country and Oman’s military and political history, a visit to Bait Al Baranda is a great way to get an overview of Omani culture and tradition. Multimedia exhibits at the Bait Al Baranda museum include interactive screens and videos as well as a photo history and a variety of art and posters on display. There are models of and artefacts from ancient Oman. Tracing history back to prehistoric Oman, the exhibits depict the country’s early Islamic period, Portuguese occupation and current dynasty. A display of bones found 10,000 years ago in the Al-Khoud area is particularly noteworthy. Contemporary art exhibitions are on display seasonally.
